Databases and Electronic Resources

The following electronic resources have been made available by special arrangement for Columbia University alumni and Friends of the Columbia Libraries.

Alumni may access these resources by using their Columbia UNI. Friends of the Columbia Libraries who are not graduates of the University may obtain a UNI by contacting the Libraries Development Office.

Service Alert!
As of December 31, 2013 the Factiva database will no longer be available to alumni via the Libraries' Alumni and Friends portal.  Dow Jones, the company that produces Factiva, has discontinued the Factiva alumni program.  All other e-resources provided to alumni by the Libraries will continue to be available via the Alumni and Friends portal.  These resources include offerings comparable to Factiva, such as ProQuest and Business Source Complete. The Libraries are actively pursuing additional resources to add to the rich content we provide for Columbia alumni.
